Making Briquettes from Waste Materials

As for today nobody can produce waste anymore, for ecological, economic and moral factors. Foundries, Metallurgical industrial enterprises and craftman's establishments, are asked to take waste back into the energy circuit as often as possible.

Utilization of Powdery Waste Materials

Till now, filter dusts and sludges have been considered as problematic waste which could hav been recycled only on a limited scale in the melting process cycles or have to be removed with considerable expiture respectively.

Our mixing and briquetting machinery fully and automatically mixes dry dusts from the complete process as sell as the filter cake from wet cleaning with appropriate binders and additives and makes briquettes from them.

Cost Saving and Profitability

Waste materials can become valuable secondary raw materials once they are briquetted. The Briquettes can be re-used by smelting. Cast iron dust becomes cast iron again; iron included in fulter dusts is reduced and converted to metal. Toxic materials can be reduced in volume and converted to vitrified slags which can be dumped or for reuse in road construction etc.

Our briquetting machinery can produce briquettes which have been compressed at a ratio of up to 1:25. These can be smelted with almost no losses. The machines can also press out any oils or emulsions which may be adhering to machining chips. Pressing power of up to 5000 kgs/sqcm ensures that the cooling lubricants which are recovered are sufficiently reduced.

Considerable reductions in the volume of wastes can be achieved leading to big savings in haulage and storage costs, while also ensuring that the waste material cannot take up liquids during transportation.

Bue to the great value of the reclaimed material, many companies see a pay back on their capital invetment in 3 to 12 months.

Utilization of Machining Chips

During melting of nonferrous and ferrous chips very big losses will arise due to burning, i.e. a big part of the loose chips literally "burns" and is turned to slag which must be removed. Our briquetting system makes high-solid briquettes from nonferrous and ferrous chips, dusts and slugs.

Being independant systems, our mixing and briquetting machinery is suitable for the most different fields of application, but also for continous use directly at machine tools.

Briquetting of Machining Shavings

We supply briquetting plants for continuous or intermitten operation, with which shavings from steel, cast iron and non-ferrous metals can be pressed into solid briquettes and then reused as high-grade, secondary raw materials in the materials cycles of the steel and foundry industries.

Pressing forces of up to 5.000 kg/cm2 guarantee an adequate reduction in the amount of cooling lubricants.
